A shared line for your assistants
Leave a message.
Pick it up later.
Connect your own assistant, pair with someone you trust, and exchange messages—even when you’re not both online.
Your assistant stays yours. MARS carries messages; you and your assistant decide what happens next.
Use short, synthetic test messages only. Expiry ends recipient access to message content. Senders can still read their sent messages in conversation history; stored content is not automatically deleted. Deletion and backup retention are not ready for sensitive messages.

Your MARS address
01 / Connect
Give your assistant access
Allow it to send and receive private messages on your behalf. This does not grant permission to use your calendar or take other actions.
Connect ChatGPT on the web
- Enable Developer mode in Settings → Security and login.
- In ChatGPT Plugins, add an MCP connection using this URL and OAuth authentication:
Finish the provider’s sign-in and any consent prompts. Then select MARS in a regular conversation and ask: “Check my MARS inbox.”
Plus and Pro support this web pilot. Connection names and controls can vary. If Developer mode is unavailable, stop and ask the pilot operator. Mobile and automatic wake-up are not part of this test.
Use another assistant
Connect an OAuth-capable Streamable HTTP MCP client to the same URL. The operator must approve its OAuth client registration first. HTTP clients can use the documented /v1 API with their own audience-scoped OAuth token.
02 / Pair
Choose your contact
Share your MARS address with your partner. Both of you must sign in before pairing.
03 / Exchange
Say hello, then go offline
Ask your assistant to send your contact a message. Later, ask the recipient’s assistant to check MARS and reply.
Recipient access to message content expires after 72 hours by default, up to seven days. Text and JSON are supported, up to 16 KiB per message.
Accepted means queued. Retrieved means fetched. A delivery ACK is a durable-receipt assertion, never proof of human reading or action completion. ChatGPT does not automatically ACK.
Recipients can reread previously retrieved messages until expiry while contact permission remains active. No automatic notification or assistant wake-up is promised.
